28 recalls for eleven Peugeot models in 2020
In 2020, Peugeot announced 28 recalls for eleven models through the EU Rapex system.
More than 370,000 models of the Peugeot Partner, 208, 2008, 308, 3008 and 5008 are affected by the recall due to possible strong abrasion of the timing belt and the consequent damage to the vacuum pump and brake booster with the 1.2-litre PSA petrol engines.
Peugeot also often solved problems with the front and rear axles, brake hoses, steering and fuel leaks.
Traditionally, the most recalled were the Expert and Traveler vans. In 2020, nine other problems arose. The new Peugeot 208 had only one issue less.
All the recalls sorted by models are listed in the tables below.
We’ve written about some problems in more detail in a separate article.
- Peugeot and Citroën to recall 1.2-litre petrol engines. The brake booster may fail
- Incorrect wheel alignment with Peugeot and Citroen, risk of fire with Renault (week 35/20)
- With the Peugeot and Citroen, the brake hose or the axle bolt may break (week 29/20)
- Another four recalls with the Peugeot and Citroën vans (week 24/20)
