23 recalls for 12 Peugeot models in 2019

In 2019, Peugeot announced 23 recalls involving 12 models through the EU Rapex system. The Traveller and Expert vans had the most defects.

We’ve sorted all 2019 recalls according to the model into a table below.

Peugeot’s most failing cars are still the Traveller and Expert vans. In 2019, there were seven more recalls with eight new faults to solve.

Peugeot also had a large recall for its smallest 107 models. The glue that adheres the windowpane to the rear door could come loose with cars manufactured from May 2005 to November 2013.

The particulate filter can be damaged with the 208, 2008, 308, 3008, 5008, Traveller, and Expert models manufactured from late 2016 to mid-2018. Some models (208, 2008, 3008, 5008, 308, 508) may also exceed the permissible limit of nitrogen oxides. We didn’t save this recall with the Rapex code A12/1592/19 to our archive, as well as some other minor recalls with a production scale of only several days.

With the Peugeot 5008, manufactured from March 2018 to February 2019, the spare wheel may fall out while driving. At the very end of the year, there was a recall for Peugeot 208 and 2008 produced in the first half of 2019. The rear axle retaining bolts may be defective and may break, causing the axle to detach while driving.

We’ve written about some problems in more detail in separate articles.
