Seat recalls Leon and Cupra Leon due to injury risk (week 39/22)

This week’s recalls:
– Seat Leon, Cupra Leon – injury
– Peugeot 508, 3008 – the risk of fire
– Land Rover Range Rover – the risk of fire

Five recalls for six models of five carmakers were announced via Rapex in the 39th week of 2022.

Cupra, DS, Land Rover, Peugeot and Seat have one recall each – see the table at the end of the article.

In the event of an accident, there is a risk that the load in the baggage compartment will shoot forwards to the partition grille and cause the bracket to detach from the body, increasing the risk of injury to the passengers with the 11,110 Seat Leon and Cupra Leon model range produced between October 2020 and June 2022.

Peugeot recalls 508 and 3008 models manufactured between October and December 2019. The high-voltage battery has a mismatch in cell voltage, which could cause a fire. The DS carmaker is reporting the same fault with the DS7 Crossback.

Some Range Rovers with a production date between 23 September 2020 and 7 June 2022 may have a poorly tightened particulate filter frame connection. In this case, hot exhaust gases may leak under the vehicle or engine compartment, damaging engine components and increasing the risk of fire.

Details on this week’s recalls can be found in the table below.

What should an owner do if there's a recall?

Please note that the recall may not apply to all vehicles produced in a given period. If you think your car might be affected, you should immediately contact an dealer or workshop officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details. You can use our sample request text. After reporting the vehicle's VIN code, you will find out if the defect is present on your car, or if it has already been resolved by the previous owner if the car was purchased second-hand.

If you wish to know more about the eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accident damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), in that case, we suggest going to this page.
