Overview of the recalls in the 8th week of 2024
Four recalls for six models of three makes were issued via EU Safety Gate in week 8 of 2024. Five recalls for 13 models were published by the German Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA).
Two new recalls can be found in the European Safety Gate system for Audi, while Mercedes-Benz and Suzuki have one action each.
Dodge, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz and Suzuki are all issuing recalls via the KBA.

Overheating and fire with electric Audis and Jaguars
Voltage losses in the individual cell modules of the high-voltage battery can lead to thermal overload with 40,000+ Audi e-tron electric cars built between March 2018 and March 2022. Jaguar I-Pace from 2019 to 2024 may also have problems with the high-voltage system. This recall can be found in the KBA section. In both cases, this could lead to an increased risk of fire.
Brake problems with Suzuki
The left rear brake pipe could have been damaged during installation, leading to corrosion and puncture in nearly 5,000 Suzuki SX4 S-Cross and Vitara from 2023. A brake fluid leak would have impaired braking performance and driving stability. The recall is found in both the Safety Gate and KBA databases this week.
Details on this week’s Rapex recalls can be found in the table below.
