One recall can be found in the European Safety Gate system at Dodge, Jeep and Mercedes-Benz.

Dodge, Ford a Jeep recalls
The largest recall of the week appeared in the German KBA database. The recall affects more than 2.2 million Ford Explorer SUVs from 2010 to 2019. The reason is an improperly fastened A-pillar trim that can come loose and fall on the road. Jeep is recalling twice this week. Over 100,000 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs built from February 2021 through September 2023 may have a defective belt buckle in the third-row seat. Eight thousand new Jeep Avengers are missing the manufacturer’s label on the HV battery.
Dodge is recalling 180,000 RAM pickup trucks built between 2022 and 2023 due to a possible short circuit on the steering column control module circuit board, which could spontaneously activate the turn signals or high beams.
These are the recalls announced by Safety Gate and KBA for mainly individually imported American cars in Europe. You can find the recalls directly in the USA on our website, car-recalls.com.
Poor welding at Opel and Mercedes
Less than 500 Opel Corsa vehicles built in 2023 may have a poorly welded rear axle, which can crack and cause poor handling. 882 Mercedes GLEs produced in the first half of May 2023 have defective spot welds on the accelerator pedal unit, which can bend and jam or interfere with the brake pedal.
Details on this week’s Rapex recalls can be found in the table below.
