Ten recalls for ten Hyundai models in 2021
Hyundai has announced ten recalls affecting ten of its models in 2021 through the Rapex system.
Four of Hyundai‘s recalls involved either previous or current generations of Tucson SUVs. The reason was possible problems with ABS, brakes, or airbags. The eCall may not always work reliably as with the larger Santa Fe. Electric Kona and Ioniq models were recalled due to a possible short in the lithium-ion battery. With several older Hyundai models, using the compressor from the tyre repair kit risks overheating the 12-volt outlet, which could increase the risk of fire.
