9 Renault recalls in 2018

In 2018, Renault announced 9 recalls that affected 5 of its models, according to the Rapex notifications. How to check your VIN for free to see if any of them is also relevant to your car?

Renault recalled the Captur and Clio models due to the headlamp beam height correction system failure. The dipped headlamp beams of cars produced from the start of production until October 2017 may face downwards. With both models produced within three days after September 22, 2017, can moreover occur cracks in the front wheel hub.

Tip: Check the vehicle’s history by VIN

One-third of this year’s recalls concerned the Renault Zoe, on which the Nissan accelerator was accidentally used, and the driver could keep his foot trapped under the carpet. This issue concerns the three-month production from July to October 2017.

The second reason for the recall with Renault Zoe is a gearbox defect in cars manufactured after October 18, 2016. For the third time, the Zoe was recalled together with Clio and Captur models due to the cracks in the front wheel hub.

Three recalls were also announced with Renault Master. The reasons were a steering column defect, an incorrectly programmed onboard engine diagnostics system, and no dashboard warning in the event of the electric power-steering pump unit failure.
