2020: Kia recalls

Five recalls for four Kia models in 2020

In 2020, Kia announced five recalls for four models through the EU Rapex system.

Potential oil and humidity penetration into the ABS/ESC unit may occur with several older Kia models. For this reason, more than half a million Kias were recalled worldwide in 2020. The brake booster may fail with Optima models manufactured in the second half of 2015.

The Sorento SUV had three recalls, the last of which concerned the upcoming fourth generation. The assembly of the low-pressure fuel line hose connection is inadequate and may cause fuel leakage and fire. With the previous generation, the braking assist function may fail.

The flagship Stinger may suffer from insufficient fuel supply to the engine due to a blocked fuel pump nozzle. Models manufactured in the period from 13 May 2020 to 17 July 2020 were recalled.

All the recalls sorted by models are listed in the tables below.
