Mazda-CX-60-recall

Three Mazda recalls for four of its models (week 2/24)

This week’s recalls:
– Mazda – camera, engine may fail to start
– Seat, Volkswagen – head airbags
– Renault Duster – steering wheel tightening

Overview of the recalls in the 2nd week of 2024

Nine recalls for 10 models of six carmakers were issued via EU Safety Gate in the 2nd week of 2024. One recall was announced by the German Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA).

Three recalls were announced by Mazda via the EU Safety Gate system, while two by Renault. Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Seat, and Volkswagen have one recall each this week.

Land Rover is also recalling through the KBA.

Mazda’s camera and drive

While Mazda had just one recall in the Safety Gate system last year, no less than three were announced right at the start of 2024. Mazda recalls three models due to problems with the front, side and rear camera images on the centre monitor. Nearly 7,500 Mazda 3, Mazda CX-30, and Mazda CX-90 vehicles built between April and September 2023 may experience the loss of camera images. The Japanese automaker is also reporting the same defect with the Mazda CX-60 as part of two recalls due to a possible loss of propulsion.

Airbags and collision sensors

The Porsche 911, Seat Tarraco, and Volkswagen Tiguan are being recalled due to airbag problems. The collision sensors in the Renault Trafic may have failed. The power steering pump will be checked in markets where the Duster SUV is sold under the Renault brand.

Details on this week’s Rapex recalls can be found in the table below.

We write about the KBA recalls in the following articles:

What should an owner do if there's a recall?

Please note that the recall may not apply to all vehicles produced in a given period. If you think your car might be affected, you should immediately contact an dealer or workshop officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details. You can use our sample request text. After reporting the vehicle's VIN code, you will find out if the defect is present on your car, or if it has already been resolved by the previous owner if the car was purchased second-hand.

If you wish to know more about the eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accident damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), in that case, we suggest going to this page.

Do you know the year Your car was made? You most likely don't.
