In June 2019, 16 recalls were announced via the EU Rapex system, which affected 23 models of 15 brands. Two recalls were issued by Mercedes-Benz, while Audi, Bentley, Cadillac, Citroën, Dodge, Ford, Chevrolet, Jaguar, Jeep, Opel, Peugeot, Suzuki, VW and Volvo all had one recall each.
In our May summary, there were six recalls related to the braking system of some vehicles. In June, the number of recalls due to the brakes and their accessories was the same again. Parking brake problems continue with the PSA Group, this time with the Citroën Berlingo, Peugeot Partner and Peugeot Rifter.
A defective sealing may cause an internal leakage on the brake master cylinder with the MY 2018 Opel Insignia. Over half a million Ford Ranger’s produced between 2016 – 2018 must have the flexible front brake hoses replaced. The friction braking system may not engage in adequate time with the Jaguar I-Pace. And finally, the Mercedes A-Class may have a poorly welded brake pedal.
The loss of electric power steering was reported by Cadillac, Dodge and Chevrolet, while Jeep Compass, Skoda Kodiaq, Volvo S90 and XC60 may have missing screws in its seats.
