In 2019, Kia announced 4 recalls involving 4 models through the EU Rapex system. The Niro, Optima, Picanto and Stinger had one recall each.

The main relay within the power relay assembly may have inadequate connections between its contacts with the Niro models manufactured between 2016 – 2018. The Model year 2019 – 2020 Kia Optima may have a software error in the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system that may not correctly detect another vehicle standing in front of a moving vehicle.

Tip: Check the vehicle’s history by VIN

There is a rough edge on the Stinger (2017 – 2018) left fender panel that could damage the wiring harness insulation. Kia Picanto manufactured in June 2012 is recalled for premature wear of the fuel hoses.
