Overview of the recalls in the 17th week of 2024
Three recalls for 14 models of three manufacturers were issued via EU Safety Gate in week 17 of 2024. Three recalls for three models were announced by the German Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA).
BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche have one recall each in the European Safety Gate system.
BMW, Ford and Hyundai are issuing recalls via the KBA.

BMW, Mercedes and Porsche recalls
The European Safety Gate alert system has featured this week the recalls we have reported on in recent weeks in our overview of the recalls announced through the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt – KBA). In the table at the end of the article, you will find the recalls for 371,756 BMWs, 340,956 Mercedes and an extended recall for the Porsche Taycan.
Poorly bonded parts
BMW is recalling several hundred BMW XMs because of a badly bonded fifth door panel. Ford Bronco may have a badly glued hardtop side window.
Hyundai Tucson rear windows
Hyundai is recalling over 15,000 Tucsons from 2021 to 2023 due to malfunctioning rear power window pinch protection.
