Maserati: 5 recalls involving 3 models in 2017

Maserati announced five recalls in 2017 concerning 3 models according to Rapex. The Ghibli and Quattroporte were recalled three times while Levante was recalled twice. The oldest cars recalled were made in 2013.

Front wheel bearings and cracked rear differentials were the reason for two Maserati recalls announced in January 2017. The recalls affected the Ghibli and Quattroporte models.

In February, the SUV Levante was recalled due to a possible failure of the head/side airbags. Levante was also recalled in September, after identifying the risk of short-circuiting and fire caused by the chafing of seat cabling. The Ghibli and Quattroporte are also reported to suffer from the same problem. The relevant production years are shown in the link under each model.
