6 Honda recalls in 2018

In 2018, Honda announced 6 recalls that affected 6 of its models, according to the Rapex notifications. How to check your VIN for free to see if any of them is also relevant to your car?

The largest recall in 2018 was announced by Honda in February for several models manufactured between January 2009 and November 2010. Due to the possible rupture of airbag inflators, the Civic (FD1, FD3), CR-V (RE5, RE6), Jazz (GE6, GG1, GG2, GG3, GG6), and Insight (ZE2) had to go back to the workshop.

The Honda Civic appears in the Rapex list again in June, due to the missing side vent in the backrest of the front seat, which could prevent the side airbags from being deployed. The defect concerns cars produced between September 2016 and September 2017.

The Honda HR-V from 2014-2018 may have a poorly secured cabin wiring harness on the front left chassis rail/suspension turret area. Cabling may be damaged and a short circuit may occur.

Honda Odyssey was recalled twice in 2018 for the same defect. The January recall due to a poorly secured the second row of the outboard seats was for the model year 2011 to 2016 vehicles, while the February repeated recall extended the model range to model years 2010-2017.
