Four recalls for three Tesla models in 2021
Tesla has announced four recalls in 2021 through the Rapex system, affecting three of its models.
Three of the recalls involved the Model 3, and Model Y. Defects can occur in the front suspension, the brake callipers and seatbelts. More than 12,000 Model X vehicles from 2015 and 2016 could lose decorative trim strips while driving.
Tesla also recalls older Model S and Model X due to problems with the central touchscreen. This action has not yet appeared in Rapex and is not included in our 2021 statistics, but we wrote about it – see the link to the article.
All the recalls, sorted by model, are listed in the tables below.
We have written about some of the faults in the following articles.
- Tesla recalls due to problems with the touchscreen also in Europe
- Tesla can drop the trim strip while driving, Volkswagen may lose the entire spoiler (week 6/21)
- Recalls for Hyundai, DS, Smart, Tesla and VW electric cars (weeks 28-29/21)
