Three recalls for two Suzuki models in 2021
Suzuki has announced three recalls in 2021 through the Rapex system, affecting two of its models.
With more than 32,000 Suzuki Jimny small off-roaders, repeated opening and closing of the driver and passenger doors can cause damage to the power supply wires in the wiring harness. This can cause the curtain and side airbags to fail to activate properly in the event of an accident. The fuel pump can also fail in about 7,000 of the same cars built in 2018.
A poorly welded tank vent pipe can cause fuel leaks in 6,749 Suzuki Ignises made in the second half of 2020.
All the recalls, sorted by model, are listed in the tables below.
We have written about some of the faults in the following articles.
- Two Suzuki Jimny recalls; Toyota and Lexus report fuel pump problems (week 26/21)
- The defective parking brake with Mitsubishi; fire risk with Suzuki and Lamborghini (week 15/21)
