Five recalls for seven Skoda models in 2021

Skoda has announced five recalls in 2021 through the Rapex system, affecting seven of its models.

The largest recall by Skoda in 2021 was for the Karoq and Kodiaq models, precisely 14,097 cars produced during the summer of 2020. Due to a manufacturing defect, the brake pedal footplate may not be sufficiently welded and may deform or detach completely.

The second-largest action was for around 1,500 Kamiq and Scala model range cars built in August and September 2019, where the eCall button may not work correctly. All other recalls mentioned below were for a tiny number of cars or were limited to selected markets.
