VW Tiguan: The head airbag can injure the occupants

Volkswagen is recalling 1,229 Tiguan vehicles built between 2018 and 2019 to the workshop worldwide. The reason for the recall is that the housing of the head airbag can be damaged when the airbag is deployed. This can cause metal fragments to come loose, which can injure the occupants.

The head airbag on the affected vehicles is replaced in the workshop.

The KBA monitors the recall under the reference number “013363” and the internal manufacturer code is “69FV“.
