The brake pedal may fail on several Volvo models

Volvo is recalling 16,500 S60, S90, V60, V90, XC60 and XC90 vehicles manufactured between 2019 and 2020 to authorized workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is a limited brake function due to incorrect installation of the brake pedal.

In an authorised workshop, the screw connection on the brake module is checked and tightened to the correct tightening torque if necessary.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “14487R“. The internal manufacturer code is “R10289“.

You can use our sample request text. After reporting the vehicle's VIN code, you will find out if the defect is present on your car, or if it has already been resolved by the previous owner if the car was purchased second-hand.

If you wish to know more about the eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accident damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), in that case, we suggest going to this page.

Do you know the year Your car was made? You most likely don't.
