Volvo EX90: The tailgate may fall down uncontrollably

Volvo is recalling 2,020 vehicles of the EX90 model series manufactured between 24. 1. 2024 and 12. 8. 2024. The reason for the recall is the tailgate drive unit which may come loose, the spring may spring out and injure the person. The tailgate may fall down uncontrollably.

The defective tailgate drive unit will be replaced at an authorized workshop.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) is monitoring the recall under reference number “15671R” The manufacturer’s internal code is “R10342”
