Volkswagen Touran and T-Roc: The rear wheel bearing may break

VW is currently recalling 167 vehicles of the Touran and T-Roc models built in 2023 to workshops worldwide. The reason for the measure is blowholes in the rear wheel bearing, which can lead to breakage. The driving stability could be limited.

At the workshop, check the DMC code on the rear left wheel bearing housing and replace it if necessary. The KBA is monitoring the measure under the reference number “012979” and the manufacturer code of the recall is “42M9“.
