Toyota Proace and Proace City: The charging cable can overheat

Toyota is recalling 1,715 Proace and Proace City built in 2023 to workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is a faulty calibration of the temperature sensor on the charging cable. This can lead to overheating and fire.

The Mode 2 charging cable is checked in the workshop and replaced if necessary. The KBA monitors the measure under the reference number “012923” and the internal manufacturer code is “CI23-018“.
