Toyota Highlander: The fault of the rear seats

Toyota is recalling 68,200 Highlander vehicles manufactured between 2019 and 2024 to authorized workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is the 40% side of the split seat backrest in the second row of seats that does not comply with the UN-ECE R21 radius.

In an authorized workshop the seats will be repaired.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “14423R“. The internal manufacturer code is “24SD-129“.
