Toyota C-HR: The Intelligent Park Assist system may fail

Toyota is recalling 7,794 C-HR Lounge/Lounge Premiere and GR Sport Premiere vehicles with Advanced Safety Paket manufactured in 2023 to authorised workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is that an error in the distance sonar ECU causes the vehicle to switch to D or R in the remote-controlled parking function and the brakes to be released without the remote control being operated.

In an authorised workshop, the software of the distance sonar control unit and the brake control unit is updated using a standard diagnostic tool.

The KBA monitors the recall under the reference number “013422“. The internal manufacturer code is “23SD-153“.
