Tesla Model S and Model X: Replacement of non-compliant refrigerant

Tesla is recalling 291 Model S and X built in 2023 to the workshop worldwide. The reason for the recall is the replacement of refrigerant that does not comply with the regulations.

In the workshop, existing air-conditioning refrigerant is extracted, affected air-conditioning lines are replaced, and the air-conditioning system is filled with a refrigerant that complies with Directive 2006/40/EC. The KBA is monitoring the measure under the reference number “012897“, and the internal manufacturer code is “SB-23-18-005“.
