Tesla Model S and X: Incorrect seat belt tensioner anchorage

Tesla is recalling 17,997 Model S and X vehicles built between 2021 and 2023 worldwide. The reason for the recall is that the seat belt tensioners of the front seats were not correctly reinstalled as part of a repair measure. In the event of an accident, there is an increased risk of injury to the occupants.

The seat belt tensioner anchorage is checked in the workshop and reworked or replaced if necessary. The KBA monitors the measure under the reference number “012999” and the manufacturer’s internal code is “SB-23-20-004“.
