Subaru Solterra: Restricted defrosting of the windscreen

Subaru is recalling 47,208 Solterra vehicles manufactured between 29 March 2022 and 11 June 2025 to authorized workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is restricted defrosting of the windscreen.

At an authorized workshop, the air conditioning control unit will be reprogrammed and inspected, and, if necessary, the electric compressor will be replaced.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “15854R“. The internal manufacturer code is “SRT372“.
