Software fault may cause Nissan Qashqai to switch to emergency mode

Nissan is recalling 94,404 Qashqai vehicles manufactured between 2021 and 2024 to authorized workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is that software error leads to fluctuating battery charge levels, causing the vehicle to switch to emergency mode. Once switched off, the vehicle cannot be restarted.

In an authorized workshop, the BMS (Battery Management System) software in the affected vehicles will be updated.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “14969R“. The internal manufacturer code is “R24C8“.
