Overview of recalls in the 10th week of 2025
Seven recalls for 19 models of six makes were issued via EU Safety Gate in week 10 of 2025. Eight recalls for ten models of six makes were published by the German Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA).
Two recalls are to be found this week in the European Safety Gate system for the Opel and Peugeot, while Citroen, Hyundai, Vauxhall and Volvo have one recall each.
Alfa Romeo, Dodge, Ford, Hyundai, Vauxhall and Volvo are recalling through the KBA.

1.2 PureTech engine
Stellantis is recalling over 270,000 Citroën C3, Peugeot 208, Opel Corsa and Opel Crossland. These are models equipped with the 1.2 PureTech atmo 3-cylinder engine with 82 hp (or 83 hp) produced between October 2022 and November 2024. Damage to the oil cooling jets and damage to the crankshaft and/or pistons may occur, resulting in engine seizure. This can lead to a puncture of the engine casing, causing oil to leak onto the exhaust manifold. This increases the risk of a fire in the engine compartment and subsequent vehicle fire. Knocking, sudden loss of power or unexpected engine shutdown are the most common symptoms.
Brake booster failure
Hyundai is found this week in both the European Safety Gate system and the German KBA database. The first recall is a continuation of a series of recalls for older models due to a possible short circuit and fire in the ESP unit. A list of models affected can be found in the table at the end of the article.
The second recall is for 21,754 Hyundai Tucsons built between 2022 and 2023. This is due to possible damage to the vacuum pump for the brake booster during engine start-up, which may lead to its failure. More force is then required on the brake pedal to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of an accident.
In the 7,244 Volvo XC90 SUVs produced in early 2025, the low/high beam headlights may restart and fail while driving. Headlights (and more) may also be a problem on the Alfa Romeo Junior.
Details on this week’s Rapex recalls can be found in the table below.
