Risk of injury due to seat belts in four Audi models

Audi is recalling 1,539 A6, A7, Q7 and Q8 vehicles manufactured between 17 March and 30 July 2025 to authorized workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is that a missing fastening element between the seat belt buckle and the seat belt strap may result in insufficient restraint force in the event of heavy braking or an accident. There is an increased risk of injury to the occupants in the front seats.

At an authorized workshop, the belt buckles on the front seats will be replaced.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “15801R“. The internal manufacturer code is “692K“.
