Due to the incorrect screwing of the rear left brake line, a leak can occur where the brake hose is attached, leading to a slow loss of brake fluid. Braking performance can be affected, increasing the risk of accidents and injuries.

The Volkswagen Caddy and Caddy Maxi vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 6 – 8 April 2024 (Caddy) and 13 May – 19 June 2024 (Caddy Maxi).
