Volkswagen Atlas (2020 – 2021)

airbag injury

The condensation drainage ducts on the air-conditioning housing were not punched through, this prevents condensation from flowing through the condensation duct as intended, thus allowing it to enter the vehicle’s interior. Condensation could enter the airbag control unit and lead to a malfunction, such as its accidental triggering.

The Volkswagen Atlas vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 20 May 2020 and 4 March 2021.
