In the event of a collision that results in the deployment of the driver frontal airbag, the inner pressure of the inflator assembly could increase abnormally and the inflator body could rupture. The ruptured inflator may create metallic projectile fragments that could hit passengers and cause injuries.

The recall concerns Model year 2003 vehicles.
