The screw between the rear axle and the body can come loose, causing disconnection or even complete detachment of the centre bearing of the rear axle from the body. In this case, the wheel guidance can be lost, creating a risk of an accident.
The Smart EQ ForTwo vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 28 April and 4 October 2022.
