Reason for the recall:

The side airbag inflatable curtain inflator may break due to internal corrosion and may deploy spontaneously in the absence of an accident or commanded deployment. As a result, the metal fragments may pass through the cushion material, causing injury to the occupants.

The Dodge RAM vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 27 March 2015 and 31 August 2020.
