Reason for the recall:
A defective capacitor may cause voltage fluctuations in the power supply of the airbag control unit. As a result, the airbags and the seatbelt pre-tensioners may deploy unexpectedly or fail to deploy in the event of an accident, increasing the risk of injury to the occupants.
The Porsche Boxster models affected by this recall were manufactured between 23 June 2015 and 16 June 2016.
