Peugeot Expert (2015 – 2016)

accident steering

1. The pinion valve on the steering rack may have been assembled incorrectly. This could lead to a loss of mechanical coupling between the pinion valve and the steering rack and hence a loss of steering control.
Vehicles manufactured between 13. 6. – 7. 9. 2016

2. The fastenings of the front shock absorbers could become loose. A loss of retention of a shock absorber could make it difficult for the driver to control the trajectory of the vehicle.
Vehicles manufactured between 22. 1. – 23. 6. 2016

3. Possible incorrect positioning of a fuel pipe seal in the filler cap area could lead to loss of fuel when the tank is filled completely or in the event that the vehicle overturns.
Vehicles manufactured between 1. 2. 2013 – 9. 7. 2016

4. Incorrect tightening of the fixings of the airbag housing and of the electrical chassis of the compartment harness could lead to malfunction of the airbags or to the engine stopping.
Vehicles manufactured between 9. 5. – 19. 8. 2016

5. Some seals for the bodywork are missing. As a result, water could enter the passenger compartment and cause the airbag control module to malfunction, which could lead to the airbag being deployed unexpectedly.
Vehicles manufactured between 22. 10. 2015 – 27. 10. 2016

6. The tightening torque of the brake servo to the pedal may be incorrect. This could lead to air getting into the brake servo, making the brake assist system less effective.
Vehicles manufactured between 13. 4. – 29. 6. 2016

7. One or several wheel fixing nuts may have been incorrectly tightened on one or several wheels. This could lead to fractures appearing on the wheel and the possibility that the wheel could become detached while the vehicle is in motion. If this were to happen, the driver could have difficulty controlling the vehicle.
Vehicles manufactured between 29. 2. – 29. 9. 2016

What should an owner do if there's a recall?

Please note that the recall may not apply to all vehicles produced in a given period. If you think your car might be affected, you should immediately contact a Peugeot dealer or workshop officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details. You can use our sample request text. After reporting the vehicle's VIN code, you will find out if the defect is present on your car, or if it has already been resolved by the previous owner if the car was purchased second-hand.

If you wish to know more about the eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accident damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), in that case, we suggest going to this page.

Do you know the year Your car was made? You most likely don't.
