Reason for the recall:
The rivets fixing the side step shades may corrode and fracture due to galvanic corrosion. If all the rivets fracture, the side step shades may drop off from the moving vehicle, increasing the risk of accident.
The Mitsubishi Triton Model year 2016 models are affected by this recall.
