As a result of a polarity error in the secondary digital torque sensor in the steering gear, if the primary steering torque sensor fail, the steering wheel may oscillate when the driver is steering. This can lead to a loss of vehicle control while driving, increasing the risk of accidents and injuries.
The Ford Mustang vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 15 September 2022 and 5 April 2023.
Update 23. 5. 2025
In May 2025, recall with code 25S11 was added to the European Safety Gate database due to an incomplete software update relating to recall 24S44. A total of 342 Mustangs manufactured between 24 October 2022 and 31 March 2023 require additional servicing.
