A software error in the engine control unit prevents the malfunction indicator light (MIL) from switching on if the urea injector stops working. This can lead to higher emissions and poses a risk to the environment.
The Citroen C-Elysée vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 12 November 2019 and 14 October 2022.
Update 5. 9. 2025 The malfunction indicator light (MIL) may fail to illuminate if the diagnostic system of the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and/or the diesel particulate filter (DPF) malfunctions after a fault code has appeared. This could cause the vehicle to operate without the required warning, and resulting in emissions above the regulatory limits.
The Citroen C-Elysée vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 7 April 2017 and 3 October 2020.
