The propellant in the inflator of the driver airbag may deteriorate over time. If the airbags deploy, it could result in fragments of the inflator injuring the vehicle’s occupants.

The BMW X1 vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 1 January 2008 and 30 December 2010.
