Reason for the recall:

The propellant within the integrated inflator of driver airbags can deteriorate during time. If the airbag deploys, it could result in fragments from the inflator casing injuring the vehicle’s occupants.

The BMW 3 Series vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 11 November 2003 and 29 December 2015.
