Porsche Taycan: The moisture penetration and risk of fire

Porsche is recalling 25,729 Taycans built in 2023 back to the workshop worldwide. The reason for the recall is insufficient sealing of the high-voltage battery, which can lead to moisture penetration. This can result in a vehicle fire.

The high-voltage battery is subjected to a leak test in the workshop and replaced if the seal is insufficient. The KBA is investigating the action under reference number “013145“, and the manufacturer’s internal code is “APB2“.
