Porsche Panamera: Moisture penetration can lead to a fire

Porsche is recalling 101,478 Panamera vehicles from the production period 2017 to 2021 to the workshop worldwide. The reason for the measure is moisture ingress into the control unit of the auxiliary pump of the climate control system, which can still lead to a fire even after the vehicle has been parked.

At the workshop, the additional pump is replaced by a variant with an optimised sealing concept. The KBA is investigating the action under reference number “012496“, and the manufacturer’s internal code is “APA1“.
