Peugeot recalls 550,000 cars: No warning when SCR catalyst is deactivated

Peugeot is recalling 556,699 units of the 208, 301, 308, 508, 2008, 3008, 5008, Boxer, Expert, Partner, Rifter and Traveler vehicles worldwide from model years 2019 to 2022. The reason for the recall is the faulty calibration of the urea pump diagnosis in the engine control unit, which leads to the omission of a warning to the driver when the SCR catalytic converter is deactivated.

The calibration of the engine control unit (ECU) is updated in the workshop. The KBA monitors the measure under the reference number “012939” and the manufacturer’s internal code is “MF6“.
