Peugeot 208: Loss of control due to incorrectly fastened tie rods

Worldwide, 37,627 Peugeot 208s manufactured during the production period from 19 March 2020 to 24 October 2022 will have to go back to the workshop. The reason for the measure is incorrectly fastened track rods, which can lead to a loss of control. Currently, 15 cases are known, but with no accidents.

In the workshop, the front axle geometry is checked and corrected if necessary, and the locking nuts of the track rods are tightened. The workshop visit can take up to 85 minutes. The KBA investigates the measure with the code “012432“. The internal code is “MDZ“.
