Opel Grandland: Faulty seat airbags

Opel is recalling 4,094 Grandland vehicles manufactured between 21 March and 19 November 2024 to authorized workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is that the routing of the wiring harness in the front seats can lead to damage to metal parts if the backrests are folded into the rearmost position. As a result, there is a risk that the seat airbag may lose its function.

In an authorized workshop, the routing of the wiring harness will be checked and, if necessary, re-routed or repaired.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “14823R“. The internal manufacturer code is “KQV“.
