Nissan X-Trail may dazzle oncoming cars by suddenly switching lights

Nissan is recalling 10,117 vehicles of the X-Trail model series manufactured between January and September 2024. The reason for the recall is a malfunction of the adaptive headlights that can lead to switching between high beam and low beam despite oncoming traffic.

At an authorised workshop, the LED headlight system is reconfigured.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “14854R“. The internal manufacturer code is “R24C4“.
