Nissan Qashqai: Faulty sensors on the steering wheel

Nissan is recalling 31,896 Qashqai vehicles manufactured between 2021 and 2022 to authorised workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is that incorrectly installed touch sensor falsely detects that the driver has their hands on the steering wheel when the steering assistant is switched on, although this is not the case. Mandatory warnings to the driver are not signalled.

In an authorised workshop, the affected component must be checked and replaced if necessary.

The KBA monitors the recall under the reference number “013556“. The internal manufacturer code is “R23D5“.
