Nissan Ariya: A short circuit can lead to the drive switching off

Nissan is recalling 11,929 Ariya vehicles built between 2022 and 2023 to workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is the presence of swarf in the drive motors, which can cause a brief short circuit that can lead to the drive switching off.

Remedial measures by the manufacturer are currently not known. The KBA is monitoring the measure under the reference number “013237” and the internal manufacturer code is “R23C7“.
